The Japanese legend of Urashima Taro, a young fisherman who saves a turtle and visits the Dragon Palace beneath the sea.

Long ago, there lived a young fisherman named Urashima Taro. One day, while walking along the beach, Taro saw some children mistreating a small turtle. Feeling sorry for it, he said, "You shouldn’t hurt such a tiny creature. I’ll give you this fish if you let it go."

Taro gave the children the fish he had caught that day. Then he carried the little turtle to the water and said, "You are safe now. Go back to the sea." And so he gently returned it to the waves.
