A young monk crosses a mountain and must escape a witch using three protective ofuda.

There was once a temple where a young monk lived. One day, his master told him to go to the next village, beyond the mountain. "A witch who eats people lives on that mountain. Take these three ofuda with you. If you make a wish, they will grant it."

As the monk walked along the mountain path, he met an old woman sitting by the roadside. "Young monk, young monk, could you help me? I was on my way home, but my foot began to hurt and I can no longer walk," she said.
