A young monk crosses a mountain and must escape a witch using three protective ofuda.

At last, the witch realized the monk was no longer there and began to chase him. She ran so fast that she soon caught sight of him. When her hands were almost upon him, the monk released another ofuda and said, "Please make a great river appear!"

Suddenly, a great river appeared before the witch. She had to swim across it, and because of that, the monk was able to escape once more.
