A Japanese folktale inspired by Sanmai no Ofuda, where a young monk uses three ofuda charms to escape a yamanba witch.

In the middle of the night, the monk woke to the sound of something being sharpened. Peering through a hole in the wall into the next room, he saw that the gentle old woman had turned into a witch and was sharpening a knife. "Surely she means to eat me," he thought.

"Grandmother, grandmother, I need to go to the toilet," said the monk. "Very well, but so you do not get lost, I will tie this rope around your waist," answered the witch, fastening him with a cord.
